A Brief Update...Starting the Blog!

I know there is a LOT that I should be posting in order to get you up to date! However, I think I will just provide a brief overview to get you somewhat caught up with our family. As more details come to mind I will add them throughout the blog.

As of now our little family consists of 4 of us. I will try to list us all out a provide you a quick update on each one of us! I hope to do this around Christmas time too. As a family we have recently just built a house with the help of Josh's brother-in-law Todd Pay. It has been such a wonderful thing!! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it feels to be able to know that this home is ours and the payments are actually going to own it and not just borrow it! haha! Of course once its paid off...that will be even better! We also just got a RZR 4 which has been the BEST purchase EVER!! We have had sooo much more family time taking it up to mountains and going for quick rides all over the area. We made it street legal and it goes up to 65 MPH so its easy to take it pretty much ANYWHERE right from our garage! SO FUN!

JOSH: The biggest thing with Josh is that he has currently quit his job up at Robertson Aviation in Riverton to partner with Dan Sperry (his step dad) in a male youth group home. We have called it Compass Academy. It has been a VERY long process and a whole lot of red tape!! Between the two of us....its really been a full time job for 3 months! Though we have been working on it for almost 2 years! So glad it is finally completed and we are just about to open the doors! Its been nice to see the change in Josh escpecially! He loves, LOVES, the work even though it gets pretty stressful he comes home happy and wanting to go back! He has even been running with me! Its been a LOT of fun! He even took 3rd in his division at the Lamb Day 5K race we ran last weekend! What a blessing! He also gets to run with Todd and Jessica Pay in the Las Vegas Relay at the end of October! So fun! I am a little jealous, but happy for him! He will do well! He is sooo athletic it makes me smile! Though if you were to ask him, he'd tell you he wasn't.

SYNDI: I have started working full-time. Which has been a really mixed blessing! I have a lot of heartache over not being home with my kids while they are home. With Shaylee starting school full-time (first grade), it will be easier to work but its still hard to pay someone to do what I would love to do! The only reasons it is worth it to me is that by working for Josh and Dan they are willing to let me only work while Shaylee is at school, and it will be a good positive enviroment to be in. If it wasn't a job I enjoyed doing...I flat out wouldn't. I have been running also. I ran the Lamb Days 5K last weekend and the Spring City Sidewalk run for Pioneer day yesterday. Its been hard for me and I am not that good at it but I am losing weight and getting into shape. I just want to continue to doing my best and getting better.

SHAYLEE: Shaylee just turned 6 in June! Can't believe it! She's growing up so fast! So fun to see the girl she is becoming! She's my little drama queen! For her birthday we went with my mom to Gardner Village up in Salt Lake and got pedicures and went shopping and had lunch. It was such a fun time! She absolutely LOVED it! She also got to go on a horse lesson with Alice (Josh's mom). Which she got really excited about! I think we may have found her passion...horses! I am going to have to get her signed up for more regular lessons next summer! She really wanted to get back into dance this year. So I am signing her up with Jessica's studio (Central Utah Dance Academy). She wants to do tumbling and ballet and performing group. So far I just got her in Ballet but I think I will definitely do the tumbling...we'll have to see about the performing group. Don't want to overwhelm her.

JAYMEN: Jaymen just turned 3 at the end of MAY! We went up to a Pirate place (can't remember the name right off the top of my head right now) in Orem. It was a LOT of fun! It was like a pirate themed chuck e cheese! haha! I liked it a lot better! We rented a room and they proved loot bags for the kids and a huge pizza and I brought a cake! We all had a really nice time! I still hear about the pirate adventure! I am going to be signing Jaymen up for tumbling this year! I hope he will actually stay in line! haha! I'm not sure Patricia's soft-spoken nature will be able to handle this crazy boy, but we will give it a shot! We also have him enrolled in Pre-School with Lori Reyes! He is really excited to start school and I am too! It will be good for him to learn how to be in that atmosphere!
